IDEA
The initial brief for the Christmas Party was a centred around a luxury Venetian Masquerade theme. With this in mind the venue needed to provide the perfect backdrop to accommodate this theme. So we settled on a gothic style old church ideally located a stones throw from Oxford Circus. In working with the surroundings we would create the gothic and moody atmosphere with Phantom of the Opera as our inspiration.
SOLUTION
Firstly on entry there was a low fog covered the entrance to emulate the famous scene from Phantom of the Opera. Once inside the colours used were a warm combination of red and gold to set the atmosphere. We also made use of the beautiful domed ceiling of the church and filled it with moving mirror balls to create a star-like effect. To continue with the decor details, on the tables sat large gold ornate birdcages and impressive 25 armed candelabras to add grandeur to the setting. Then to create mystique the wings of the church were left draped until after dinner. Finally when dinner was cleared they were pulled back for a big reveal. Unveiled at this time was a large elegant dessert station, a cocktail bar and additional entertainment.
